2015..

Christmas was.... Well it was (I just don't even want to go there *sigh*).. I guess it's best to leave it behind and focus on the future..

2015 is coming and these are some of the things I want to achieve by the end of it.

- Do a monthly weight chart so by the end of the year I know where I started and where I am (Thank you Tempest for the idea)

- Choose a plan, stick to it and lose weight
This is something I aim for each year, and I'm sad to say that each year my start weight is higher than the year before. I never stick to a plan and that is a recipe for disaster. So this year I want to choose something and just stick to it.

- Work out
Another one I keep repeating. I just need to get stronger so I can actually do stuff with my husband and kids.. I do not want to be one of those mothers who is always on a bench at the park cause she is too weak/tired/fat to play with her kids.

- Redefine weight goals and rewards
I put too much pressure on my self, and when I don't reach the so-called "goal" I always feel like a fail.. So I have to redefine my goals and remember that 2 lbs down is still much better than 2 lbs up.

- Spend more time and money on my self
My looks has been my lowest priority since I just don't feel good in my own skin. I need to change the way I look and feel about my self and remember that I am worth more than what I think I am now.

That's it for me.. What are you looking into improving/changing in 2015?

New years resolution (yet again!)

  • Lose weight
I want to do another go on the low carb diet, keeping it strict through March/April and then start eating more of a less strict version of it

  • Try for another baby
Want to start trying for another baby this spring, we want another and if we get pregnant before my son turns 20 months, we will keep the same allowance as we have now when I go on maternity leave else it will stoop down to half of what it is (stupid rules, can go on about it another time)

  • Start running
I have been wanting to do this for ages.. You all know it.. If  I start now I will be able to keep at it even when I get pregnant.

  • Do weight training 2-3 times a week..
I really need to work on my arm and back muscles.. Cause they are.. Well there almost isn't any muscle there worth mentioning!

  • Get my driving license
I'm almost done with everything.. Hopefully I will have my license in January/February.. It has taken much longer time that I thought it would!

  • Work and deal with my emotions instead of eating them away..
I envy the people who lose their appetite when they are sad.. Cause I just want to stuff my face.. And then stuff it some more

  • Take care of my looks..
I mean really.. I need to start putting on a touch of makeup when I get out.. Try to look decent even though I am fat.. I can not look like a stay home mom who has fully forgotten how to dress up..

  • Save money..
The time I had off on my maternity leave, specially the last few months, where I have been ill and my husband had to stay home to take care of our son has really taken a toll on our economy.. We have had to dig into our savings and it has been rough..

  • Stay positive..
My mood has been horrible.. I have been depressed and have just now started to feel a tad better.. However I have been blessed, and I want to try to keep reminding my self of that when life gets in the way..

New Year's resolution!

I guess it is that time of the year where we rethink our ways and plan our new year. Looking back at 2012 I have had a hard but wonderful year.. I am greatful for my lovely husband and our life together. I am thankful for our healthy, happy, amazing little boy. I am also amazed over how being pregnant has changed the way I think of food and eating. So all in all it's been a good year!

I do want to change some things in 2013.. Things have been good but they can be better. I have the whole year off work which means even with the baby and everything that comes along with it I should be able to take the time to make those changes.

So in 2013 I will:

  • Reach a healthy BMI
  • Exercise 3 times a week (along with all the moving and walking that comes with having a baby)
  • Practice portion control
  • Take better care of my body and the way I look - no stay home mommy look for me!
  • Do the reboot
  • Restart and finish the C25k
I have always made really long lists of newyear's resolution and I have never ever managed to stick to them.. But this is doable, isn't it?
